Several schools move football games to Thursday

Most of the local high school football teams have moved their football games up to today due to the threat of inclement weather on Friday.

Sumter's road football game with Goose Creek will begin at 7 p.m. Wilson Hall, Laurence Manning Academy and Thomas Sumter Academy have scheduled their home games for 6 p.m. Wilson Hall is facing Porter-Gaud, LMA is taking on Hammond and TSA is going up against Orangeburg Prep.

The Lakewood at Manning contest will begin at 7:30 p.m. as will Crestwood's home game against Franklin Academy and Lee Central's home game against Timmonsville.

East Clarendon has moved its home game against Chesterfield to Saturday at noon.

Robert E. Lee Academy's game at Dillon Christian and Clarendon Hall's road game against Holly Hill are still scheduled for Friday.

The Sumter and Wilson Hall games will not be carried on the radio due to scheduling conflicts with University of South Carolina and The Citadel football games scheduled for today.

Also, the junior varsity and B football games between Sumter and Goose Creek scheduled for Thursday in Sumter have been cancelled.
