Build your own rain barrel at home with help from Clemson Extension office

Are you ready to get outside and do some yard work? Clemson Extension wants to get you started with its at-home, DIY rain barrel workshop.

The workshop, via online video, will teach participants how to assemble a rain barrel that requires no downspout.

Participants will receive a link to the video, a pre-cut 55-gallon rain barrel and all necessary supplies for assembly including screen to keep out mosquitos for $35. The tutorial will even include optional steps for painting your rain barrel.

Rain barrel supplies must be obtained during no-contact pick-up at Clemson Extension office in Sumter County, 115 N. Harvin St., or Florence County, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 2.
