TROY UNIVERSITY

TROY, Alabama - Adrianna Oliver of Shaw AFB was the recipient of a Troy University Foundation Scholarship during the 2020-21 academic year.

Oliver was awarded the Troy for Troops Current Scholarship.

The Troy University Foundation provides stewardship for a number of scholarships which are established through the generosity of private donors to assist Troy students in their educational pursuits.

Troy University announces students who have been named to the Chancellor's List for Term 3 of the 2020-21 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who earn a grade-point average of 4.0 qualify for the Chancellor's List. Term 3 includes students at Troy's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Alabama, along with students outside of Alabama and online.

Local students named to the Chancellor's List are:

- Shaw AFB - Adrianna Oliver; and

- Manning - Micheal Jordan.

Troy University announces students who have been named to the Provost's List for Term 3 of the 2020-21 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade-point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the Provost's List. Term 3 includes students at Troy's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Alabama, along with students outside of Alabama and online.

Local students named to the Provost's List are:

- Rembert - Sabrina Brisbone;

- Alcolu - Sade Johnson; and

- Sumter - Amanda Peak.

THE CITADEL

CHARLESTON - The dean's list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade-point average is 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.

The nearly 1,400 cadets and students recognized for their academic achievements during the fall 2020 semester include these local cadets and students:

- Sumter - Thomas Aycock; Nicasio Banzon; Jackson Fuller; Christian Hines; Philip Newman; Gavin Otillio; Jenna Power; Julius Reed; Walker Barber; William Noonan; Ronald Flowers; Davis Fuller; Guy Wilson; Kiel Bilton; William Rowe; and Viet Pham;

- Gable - Ethan Watts;

- Manning - Christopher Jordan; and Curtis McNeill; and

- Summerton - Robin Lang.

WESTERN GOVERNORS UNIVERSITY

SALT LAKE CITY - The following Sumter residents have earned a degree from Western Governors University:

- Kimberly Osborne received a Bachelor of Science, Nursing;

- Jennifer Tisdale received a Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education;

- Jamie O'Neal received a Bachelor of Science, Information Technology; and

- Mary Ann Staab received a Bachelor of Science, Nursing.
