* Saturday - A celebratory parade for the 14th pastoral anniversary of the Rev. Richard and Marilyn Addison will be held at 1:45 p.m. starting from 3035 Peach Orchard Road. Everyone needs to be in line by 1:30 p.m. Please wear masks and maintain social distancing.

Knitting Hearts Community Ministry, which meets at Bethesda Church of God, 2730 Broad St., announces:

* Tuesday, Nov. 24 - The church will host a community Thanksgiving service at 6:30 p.m. There will be special music, and a nursery will be provided.

* Sunday, Dec. 13 - The adult choir will present "The Light of Christmas" at 6 p.m.

* Wednesday, Dec. 16 - The children's Christmas program will be held at 7 p.m. followed by the annual Christmas tree gift exchange and a visit from Santa.

* Sunday, Dec. 20 - The adult choir will present "The Light of Christmas" at 11 a.m. The church will host a community-wide Christmas caroling at 5 p.m.

* Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021 - The church will host Christian vocalist, songwriter, speaker and author Dawn Smith Jordan (www.dawnsmithjordan.com) in concert at 6:30 p.m. Dawn committed her life to ministry as a junior in high school and has been in ministry full-time since 1987. In 1986, she was Miss South Carolina and second runner up to Miss America. She is well-known for sharing her story of triumph over tragedy following the murder of her sister, Shari, in 1985, for which a movie was made. A love offering will be received. Refreshments and a chance to meet Dawn will follow the concert.
