MANNING - Manning City Council voted to extend the city's Face Mask Ordinance an additional 60 days until May 16 at its March 15 meeting.

Trash pickup operation changes for residents

MANNING - Waste Management has converted its trash pickup in the City of Manning to a one-man operation.

Trash receptacles need to be placed close to the curb with the lid facing the street and the wheels and handle facing away from the roadway. Each trash can needs to be placed in a area that is clear of trees, shrubbery, mailboxes, utility poles, vehicles and other objects.

No trash should be placed on the top or sides of the trash can.

If a home has more than one trash can, space needs to be left between each trash can so that the truck's mechanical arm will be able to grab each trash can.
