Don't miss annual St. Matthias Church's oyster roast on Saturday, Jan. 25

Posted

SUMMERTON - Steaming, delicious oysters will be fresh off the fire at St. Matthias Church's annual oyster roast from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Flowers Farm Packing Shed, 1211 KW Hodge Road, off U.S. 301 south of Manning (just follow the signs).

Take your oyster knife, your favorite bottle of hot sauce, crackers, a big appetite, and meet your friends for a great night of fun, fellowship and great food.

If oysters aren't your favorite, don't let that stop you from having a great time. Folks can also enjoy their fill of catfish stew, barbecue, chicken bog, an assortment of desserts, drinks, live music and neighbors and folks you haven't seen since this time last year.

If you leave hungry, that's your own fault.

Tickets are $55 each and available online at www.StMatthiasAnglican.org/events.

Electronic tickets must be presented for each admittance either in printed form or electronically (via your phone, iPad, etc.) to gain entrance to the event.

Don't let the cool temperatures stop you from attending. Bundle up, but don't worry, the Flowers Shed will be nice and toasty warm.

In past years, there has been a monster fire outside to warm everyone up and welcome you to the annual event.
