Free COVID-19 vaccine clinics taking appointments in Pinewood, Summerton

Two free area COVID-19 vaccine clinics are taking appointments for all South Carolinians age 18 or older.

To register for the clinics, sponsored by the state public health department, call 1-866-365-8110 or visit https://cvas.dhec.sc.gov.

One clinic is in Sumter County on Thursday, April 8, at the Pinewood Community Center, 130 Epperson Lane, Pinewood, SC 29215.

The other is in Clarendon County at the Taw Caw Community Center on Tuesday, April 6, 1126 Granby Lane, Summerton, SC 29148.

Both clinics will offer Moderna, which is available to those 18 and older.

Pfizer is the only vaccine currently available to those aged 16-18.
