JAMES 'JIMMY' WILLIAM PRITCHARD

James “Jimmy” William Pritchard, 77, husband of Debbie Rae Hurd Pritchard, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House.
Born March 3, 1947, in Sumter, he was the son of the late Joseph Herman Pritchard and the late Florence Geddings Pritchard Sigouin. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Jimmy was employed by the Sumter Police Department for 15 years and earned the rank of sergeant. He retired as a fraud investigator for Wells Fargo Bank after 26 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years; a nephew, Philip Clark (Kimberly) and their children, Michael Clark and A.J. Clark; brother-in-law, Maynard Dorr Jr. (Marie) and their children, Kristen Dorr and Tyler Dorr, and brother-in-law, Michael Dorr.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Pritchard Clark.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel officiated by the Rev. Will Toburen.
Pallbearers will be Dale Atkinson, Tommy Barron, Russ Barbee, Jack Moore, Bill Poole and Perry Herod.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cleveland Pinckney and the Rev. Dr. Eugene Mosier.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
