Lener Mickens Winn, 59, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at her residence.

Born on Nov. 25, 1960, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of Fannie Osborne Mickens and the late Simon Mickens Sr. Lener attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a faithful member of New Beginning Outreach Ministry.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Fannie Mickens of Rembert; four brothers, Elder Rickey (Delores) Mickens of Rembert, William (Stephanie) Gholson, Larry (Lacey) Gholson and Barry (Tawana) Gholson, all of Sumter; one daughter, Barbara Mickens (Stanford) Hickman of Bishopville; two sons, Samuel Winn of the home and George (Angel) Winn of Sumter; special cousin, Tyrone Williams of the home; one aunt, Betty James of Rembert; two uncles, James Mickens of Rembert and Garfield Mickens of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sisters-in-law, Julia Mickens and Naomi Mickens; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 5055 Dais Road, Rembert.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines, a private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at New Beginning Outreach Ministry, 4660 Thomas Sumter Highway, Dalzell, with Elder Rickey Mickens, pastor, officiating, eulogist.

The procession will leave at 10:20 a.m. from the home.
