Letter to the editor: 20th Medical Group should be proud of their work to give vaccines

Posted

My wife and myself received our COVID-19 vaccinations on Tuesday the 23rd of February at the theater on Shaw Air Force Base. I would hope that every vaccination station anywhere has a smooth operation as the 20th Medical Group. Whoever designed their system did a great job. Their flow of people from station to station was flawless. No wasted time. There were people there, from the time we walked into the theater until we were finished and out the exit door with information about your next step in the process.

They had plenty of knowledgeable personnel there so there was no waiting at any of the stations in the intake through the exit process. We did not meet one person there that was not friendly or even appeared to be wishing they were somewhere else.

As a matter of fact, they went out of their way to make sure everyone had a good experience having to do something we probably did not want to do.

Bottom line is, every person on that team should be proud of themselves for the fantastic job they did and are still doing, to help folks during this pandemic to keep us alive by providing us with life-saving vaccine. And they are doing it with a smile on their face.

20th Medical Group, you should be proud of this team you have assembled to complete this enormous life-saving task. THANK YOU to each one of you that helped Shirley and myself, and all the others. Great people from start to finish.
