Linda Delores B. Chazen, 74, wife of John T. "Jack" Chazen, died on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.

Born on Aug. 5, 1946, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Lorine Branson Broadway. She was a member of Bethesda Church of God. Linda's precious countenance always radiated her passionate love for her Lord. She was an unrelenting prayer warrior; full of faith. She walked this faith out daily before her family and others. Over her lifetime, countless individuals were touched as she mentored, prayed and shared her deep love for the Lord. The legacy she leaves for her family is that nothing matters more than a personal relationship with Jesus.

Survivors in addition to her husband of 57 years include four children, Terri Gagnon (Al) and Deborah Burchett (Bruce), both of Sumter, Jack Chazen of Myrtle Beach and Gale Cooley (Michael) of St. Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren, Nichole West (Mike), John Gagnon (Ashleigh), Grace Gagnon, Lily Kunkel (Luke), Bishop Chazen and Alex Chazen; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bethesda Church of God with the Rev. Al Sims officiating along with the Rev. Ronnie Morris. Burial will be at Green Acres Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Al Gagnon, Michael Cooley, Bruce Burchett, Michael Bruce, Bishop Chazen and Luke Kunkel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Branson Bruce, Corbin Bruce, Brandon Spittle and Bryce Spittle.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bethesda Church of God and other times at the home.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
