LOUISE GREEN JENNINGS

Louise Green Jennings, 97, affectionately known as "Wese," answered the call of her heavenly father on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at KershawHealth Medical Center at Camden.

Louise was born in Lee County, to the late Henry and Louise Cabbagestalk Green. She attended Woodrow School and then went on to become the wife of Bernell Brown Jennings and the mother of seven children. Early in life, she became a member of Mt. Olive AME Church. In 1985, she then attended The Living Church in the Lord Jesus of Apostolic Faith in McBee, until she was no longer able to attend. She then reinstated her membership at Mt. Olive AME Church. Her legacy of love will live on through the lives of her children and family.

She is survived by her three children, Eva B. King (Harry), Ralph Jennings (Cheryl) and Dorothy Jennings; nine grandchildren; one devoted grandchild, Kevin Jennings; one sister-in-law, Allean Jennings; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 2700 Rembert Branch Road, Dalzell.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden, Pear Street, Woodrow, with the Rev. Dr. Ralph L. Brown, pastor of Mt. Olive AME Church, presiding, and Bishop B.L. James, eulogist.

The procession will leave at 1:30 p.m. from the home.
