MARY T. DOUGLAS

Mary T. Douglas, 77, was born on June 24, 1943, in Bishopville, a daughter of the late Walter Boone Sr. and Essie Louise Dix. She departed this life on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Denise Dennis of Sumter; two sons, Wayne Douglas (Stenna Harding) and Jonas (JoAnn) Douglas, both of Sumter; one sister, Evelynia Johnson of Pompao Beach, Florida; one brother, Coell Boone of Moore Haven, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mattie Boone; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and children.

In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 4627 Blanche Road, Lot 48, Sumter.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 3159 Red Hill Road, Bishopville, with the Rev. Blondell Miller officiating.
