Mayewood school could have another use for Sumter

Sumter 2040: Let's rethink the Mayewood Middle School situation. Evidently the district doesn't need Mayewood, so let's consider something futuristic and turn Mayewood into a "two-year" college. All students would not normally go to college, but maybe funding could be supported by the "education lottery." I don't know much about the way the system works, but I'm sure the "powers that be" do.

Sumter 2040: Moving into the future, we need to remember history to get a "footing" to determine where to go. Sumter has a terrible history in everything. All the terrible things were done by "so-called" Christians. The "slave owners" were Christian. Racism is very "alive" today. Until we change, the road to the future is going to be littered with "speed bumps." The last two years have been craziest that I can remember. We could say that the biggest "threat" to our country is the "uninformed" people/voter. We need to learn, be informed and vote.
