MELVIN JOHN CHANEY

Melvin John Chaney, 75, husband of Lourena Nelson Chaney, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Dorn VA Healthcare System in Columbia. Born in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Francis Chaney Sr. and Estelle Ballard Chaney.
The family will receive friends at the home on 3865 Congruity Rd., Gable, from 2-7 p.m. daily until the day of service.  
Funeral arrangements are in progress and will be announced by the Palmer Memorial Chapel.
