Montana Gov. Steve Bullock memorialized slain Broadwater County Deputy Mason Moore on Monday when he signed into law a bill that would place a sign at the location where Moore was fatally shot in May 2017. Moore's wife and daughter, Jodi and Branna Kaycee Carey Moore, were on hand when Bullock signed the bill. Rep. Julie Dooling, right, was the legislator who carried the bill. "It feels good to have the bill pass," Dooling said Monday afternoon. "I am so glad to have this done for Jodi and the kids. It's a stepping stone in the healing process for them. To have the bill signed into law is really bittersweet." Broadwater County Sheriff Wynn Meehan, second from right, and several of Moore's fellow deputies with the BCSO watch as Bullock signs the bill into law. Moore was a native of Manning.
