Taylor Marie Munn and Thomas McConnell White, both of Sumter, were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sumter.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Rhett Munn Jr. of Sumter and the granddaughter of Mr. John Wayne Davis Sr. of Bishopville, the late Mrs. Margaret Edwards Davis of Sumter, the late Mary Lou Munn of Sumter and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Rhett Munn of Sumter. She graduated from Wilson Hall in 2010, from the University of South Carolina in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and from The Citadel Graduate College in 2016 with a Master's Degree in Counselor Education. She is employed by Lexington County School District as a school counselor at Pelion Middle School.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas White of Sumter and the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Charles Rutledge Holmes of Columbia and Mrs. James Maurice White and the late Mr. White of Sumter. He graduated in 2009 from Wilson Hall and from the University of South Carolina in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He is employed by Nu-Idea in Sumter as a sales representative.

The Rev. Joseph Ralph James Jr. and the Rev. Angela Halter Marshall officiated.

Music was provided by Beth Lewallen, organist; Worth Lewallen IV, violinist; and Michael Helmly, cousin of the bridegroom, soloist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a princess-style gown with a lace and tulle silhouette designed in a V-pattern across the waist and featuring sheer lace off-the-shoulder sleeves, a scalloped lace hem, and an open back with a cathedral-length train finished with scalloped lace. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white peonies, garden roses, Queen Anne's lace, freesia and veronica.

Elizabeth Harris Munn and Mary Margaret Munn, sisters of the bride, served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Morgan Ann Ashmore; Elizabeth Sharpe Creed; Morgan Hensley Fields; Elizabeth Alston James; Katherine Elizabeth Kneece; Alexandra Kalar Latham; Mollie Kinney McMillian; Kemper Elizabeth Peacock; Katherine Tribble Schwartz; and Charlotte Rutledge White, sister of the bridegroom. Caroline Cole Powers, cousin of the bridegroom, served as flower girl. Honorary bridesmaids were Lucy Gray Helmly, cousin of the bridegroom, and Halle Roberts Stone.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Austin O'Neil Boyle; Davis Wilder Boyle; Clark Bethea Dean; Randolph Williams FauntLeRoy; George Turner Heron; David McKinley Jones, cousin of the bridegroom; James Laughton Jones II, cousin of the bridegroom; Hugh Johnson McMillian; James Howard Poston; and Preston Reid Schwartz. Ushers were Caleb Freer DuBose; James Dow Harrelson III; Thomas Connor Holmes, cousin of the bridegroom; and Christopher Wayne Lynch. Ring bearers were Daniel Coulter Owens and Jonah Fisher Owens, cousins of the bride.

Also participating were Michael Hunter Helmly, crucifer; John Jamison Powers IV, Bible bearer; Hadley Munn Spencer, cousin of the bride, and Dr. and Mrs. Mitchel Robert Grunsky, Scripture readers; Elizabeth Madison Boals and Genevieve Ann Wodeki, greeters; and Nicole Smith Frier and Sarah Elizabeth Rhodes, bride's book attendants.

The reception was given by the bride's parents at La Piazza in Sumter.

The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at Hampton's Main Room in Sumter.

The couple will honeymoon in Playa Mujeres, Mexico.
