ALCOLU - Dixie Richburg of Davis Station and Bryan Joseph Thompson of Manning were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, at Lakewood Plantation.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Craig Richburg of Davis Station and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Francis Lotwis of Manning and Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Erwin Richburg of Davis Station. She graduated from Central Carolina Technical College. She is a registered nurse employed by Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lee Thompson of Manning and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lee Connor of Manning, the late Maj. and Mrs. Edwin Burgess Welch, and Mrs. Glynis Thompson and the late Mr. Leroy Thompson of Elizabethtown, North Carolina. He is employed by B&B Construction in Sumter.

The Rev. Michael R. Lowder officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by Libby Anderson, vocalist; and Rachel Schwartz, pianist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white fit-and-flare gown with a lace overlay and a chapel-length veil. She carried a white rose bouquet accented with blue hydrangeas.

Mari Elizabeth Richburg served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Grace Matthews, Jessie Hodge, Tessa Sanford, Mary Anna Mayson, Morgan Will and Leanna Richburg. Mollie Barrineau and Eliza Brown served as flower girls.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Wade Brown, Jaka Allen, Edwin Thompson, Corey Hughes, Brandon Tisdale, Jacob Brown, CJ Mcleod and Dustin Poplin. Grant Brown served as ring bearer.

Also participating were Emily Barrineau and Nina Richburg.

The reception was given by the bride's parents at Lakewood Plantation.

The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at their home in Home Branch.

Following a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the couple resides in Paxville.
