SAMUEL 'SAM' FERNIE ELLEBY

Samuel “Sam” Fernie Elleby, 81, widower of Alene Stevens Elleby and son of the late James Elleby and Anna Dewitt Elleby, was born on Sept. 11, 1943, in Tabor City, North Carolina.  He departed this life Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter.
Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary Inc.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, with Pastor Ricky Simmons officiating.
Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery, Sumter.
Family will receive friends at the home of his sister-in-law, Rita B. Stevens, 5045 Camden Hwy., Dalzell, daily from 4-8 p.m.
Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
