Summer program feeds children for free

Clarendon School District 2 Food Service will provide free meals to children Mondays through Thursdays from June 11 to July 26 (except July 2-5). There are no income requirements or registration. Anyone age 18 or younger is invited to eat.

Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations such as Clarendon 2 to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. All meals are free but must be eaten on site.

The following sites will be open:

- Manning Primary School, 125 N. Boundary St., Manning - morning snack, 8-9 a.m., and lunch, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.;

- Manning Elementary School, 311 W. Boyce St., Manning - morning snack, 8-9 a.m., and lunch, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; and

- Manning High School, 2155 Paxville Highway, Manning - lunch only, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
