Sumter Today: The Sumter Police Department celebrates Black History Month with an educational contest for kids

As we enter the last week of February, which is the month dedicated to honoring the accomplishments and impacts of African-Americans on our history and culture, the Sumter Police Department honored the winners of a Black History Month art and essay contest they held for elementary school students by giving them a pizza and game party at Chuck E. Cheese, and we stopped by to learn a little more about the program.
