Sumter Today: Lights on After School shows its support for local students

Lights on After School is an event that promotes just that.
HYPE After School Program joined with other after-school programs across the nation to celebrate the event, this year as a drive up format where speakers addressed families that remained in their vehicles. HYPE partners with the school district and state Department of Education to support students, parents and schools, and we stopped by the event to learn more about why it’s important for student support to continue after school hours.
