Sumter Today: The Aldersgate pumpkin patch is open for the season

Posted

The Aldersgate United Methodist Church pumpkin patch is a fall tradition, and things are a little different, they weren’t going to let the coronavirus stop their mission.

Pumpkins are shipped each year to the church from the Navajo Nation in New Mexico, and Aldersgate donates the proceeds to local charities, especially Sumter Untied Ministries.

They have the patch more spaced out this year, but they’re now open to the public, and we stopped by as they were unloading them this week to learn more.
