Sumter Today: The lady Gamecocks get ready to play for a state title

The college basketball tournament may have kicked off today, but March has already been mad for high school basketball in Sumter.
Sumter High School’s girls team had to wait two weeks before playing the 5A state title game after a play from Clover tested positive for COVID-19.
With school being canceled yesterday because of the threat of severe weather that moved schools to e-learning, they also couldn’t practice yesterday.
We caught up with the Lady Gamecocks earlier this week to learn more about their mindset as they prepare to play in Aiken for the championship tomorrow.
