ZINNAMON 'DONNIE' LOWERY

Zinnamon “Donnie” Lowery, 70, son of the late Virginia “Annie Mae” Lowery, was born Feb. 28, 1954, in Sumter County. His earthly journey ended Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at his residence. He was educated in the public school system of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High School with the Class of 1972.
He continued his life journey by serving his country with several branches of the Military, retiring from the Air Force Reserve on Sept. 9, 2008. Donnie was a faithful member of Mt. Olive AME Church, where he served in several positions.  He was employed as a staff member of Williams Funeral Home Inc. He was also well known for his many musical talents as the “Magic Man.”
Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at Mt. Olive AME Church, 2738 Woodrow Road, Woodrow, with the Rev. Dr. R.L. Brown, pastor.
Burial will follow in the Hillside Memorial Park, 2561 Cains Mill Road, Sumter.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the home, 217 E. Moore St., Sumter.
