LEILA MAE JOHNSON PLOWDEN

MANNING - On Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, Leila Mae Johnson Plowden, wife of Johnny Plowden Sr., entered into eternal rest at McLeod Health Clarendon.

Born on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 1933, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Preston and Leila Harvin Johnson.

Graveside services celebrating her life will take place at noon on Sunday at the Plowden family plot located in St. Matthews Cemetery, S.C. Highway 261, Kingstree Highway, Manning, where the Rev. David Pugh, pastor of St. John Baptist Church, Bloomville community of Manning, will officiate.

Public viewing will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

In accordance with the requirements given by the CDC in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is not receiving relatives and friends at the residence.
