Westend Fall Festival to spotlight Sumter artists on Saturday, Sept. 21

The annual Westend Fall Festival returns this Saturday – and it’s looking more colorful than before.

The Westend Community Association will host its annual Fall Festival, bringing live music, delicious food, engaging games and exciting door prizes to Sumterites.

“This is just really part of the strategic plan that our organization has to revitalize our community, bringing life to the community,” said Keith Ivey, president of the association. “Just means so much more when you have activities to share with the community.”

But to liven up the festivities this year, the association sought to bring a little “cultural education of the arts” to the table. The association partnered with Sumter County Gallery of Art to create an exhibition to highlight local and national artists and share their creativity with our community.

“Saturday is going to be the day that we have the whole entire community come out to witness the artwork in our community,” Ivey said.

To witness it, you have to be there!

The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Birnie HOPE Center, 210 S. Purdy St. Admission is free.
