Sumter man with several medical conditions missing from residential facility, police searching

 Sumter Police Department is working to find missing 65-year-old Anderson Harrington Jr. 

Harrington, a resident of a North Main Street residential care facility, was reported missing on Thursday, Sept. 19, after he was last seen Wednesday at about 11 a.m. and has not returned. He has walked away in the past and has several medical conditions that require medication, according to the police department. 

Harrington is 6 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 130 pounds and was wearing a burgundy sweatshirt and either gray shorts or pants.

Anyone who sees him or knows where he can be found is asked to call Sumter Police Department immediately at (803) 436-2700. Dial 911 in an emergency.
