Thomas “Larry” Myers, husband of Elissa Myers and son of the late Franklin and Janie Ethel McMillian Myers, was born on July 10, 1960, in St. Charles. He entered eternal rest on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, in the comfort of his residence in Sumter. He was educated in Lee County schools and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1978, located in Elliott. Upon graduating, he received his certificate in welding from Central Carolina Technical College. Following obtaining his certificate, he took his construction skills to Georgia Pacific until beginning his employment with Martin Color-Fi in 1985, which later became known as Formed Fiber Tech, located in Sumter, where he dedicated 37 years before retiring in 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at Unionville AME Church, 1330 Swimming Penn Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. Jerome McCray, pastor.

The remains will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. for viewing until time of services.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, 802 N. Guignard Drive, Sumter.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 4 Scotkins Court, Sumter.
