MATTIE MACK WITHERSPOON

Mattie Mack Witherspoon, 89, widow of Wilbur Witherspoon and daughter of the late Wesley Mack and Ethel Bowman Mack, was born on July 21, 1935, in Sumter. She departed this life on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, with Pastor Calvin Hastie Sr., officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.

Family will receive friends at the home, 110 Brent St., Sumter, from 3 to 9 p.m. daily.

Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
